Chair Peggy Gibson (Lago Vista) – Former Secretary of CTLS Board and Advisory Council; former Secretary of the CTLS nonprofit corporation; vice chair of the Lago Vista Library Advisory Board; member of the Friends of the Library Board; retired oil and gas marketing professional. Former head of the Board’s Development Committee.
Vice-chair Larry Ringer (Bryan) — Vice-Chair, CTLS Board; former treasurer, CTLS Board. Former member of the CTLS Advisory Council; treasurer of the Friends of Bryan+College Station Public Library System; former mayor of College Station (10 years); Professor Emeritus, Texas A&M University.
Treasurer Eileen Altmiller (Buda) – Former Buda Public Library trustee; alternate CTLS lay representative; former director of St. Edwards University library; retired Director, Office of Faculty Grants, St. Edwards University
Secretary Lyle Thormann (Westbank) – CTLS lay representative; Westbank Community Library District trustee; former president of Friends of the Westbank Library; library volunteer since 1997; self employed caterer and event organizer.
Barbara Crossno (Fairfield) — Former member of the CTLS Advisory Council; member since 1975 of the Fairfield Library Association Board of Directors; acting director of the Fairfield library in 1980-1981. Currently head of the Board’s Development Committee.
Curt Busk (Wimberley) — Appointed in January, 2011, to fill the remaining one-year term of office vacated when Muriel Jackson resigned. Dr. Busk is a business executive with extensive experience in the domestic and international consumer products industries, product/process development systems and global brand launches.
Ruth Jennings (San Marcos) — Elected in September, 2008. Retired educator of 23 years. Served various positions on San Marcos Public Library Board of Directors, Life Member of the San Marcos Heritage Association and Past President of the Heritage Guild.
Dick Lavine (Austin) — Senior Fiscal Analyst for the Center for Public Policy Priorities; former senior researcher for the Texas House of Representatives; vice-chair of the Board of Directors of the Travis Central Appraisal District; named “Best Lobbyist for the Little Guy” by Texas Monthly magazine in 1999.
Lynne Holle (Schulenburg) – has 28 years experience as reading specialist in public schools. As Schulenburg Library Foundation Steering Committee Member, she helped with fundraising, grant writing, building design, library automation, interior design & purchasing.
