The Salado Public Library was the scene of a wonderful event on Saturday Dec 6.  The Friends of the Library and a host of community supporters unveiled a bronze sculpture  "Once Upon a Time"  commemorating the many contributions of Dr. B.J. (Betty Jane) McConnell.  Dr. B.J. was a founder of the library in 1985 and subsequently served as librarian in 1993.  In 1998 she became one of the first directors elected to the Salado Library District Board.  Over 100 people were on hand to honor the contribution of this lovely library lady.
