CTLS offers advice on how to build a useful library collection for patrons through policy guidelines, suggested bibliographies, weeding workshops, and, if requested, individual analysis of the library collection by a professional staff member. CTLS also supplies information about grants which provide funds for member libraries to purchase books and audio-visual material to supplement local funding.
