One of my favorite parts of my job is being on the road and visiting some amazing Texas public libraries. I recently attended a training on youth mental health (which you can read about in our latest newsletter) in New Braunfels. Like I always do when I travel, I stopped by the library. Though they were very busy with multiple SRP programs happening, Director Gretchen Pruett and staff gave me a warm welcome, a tour of their lovely library, and a chance to hold a wallaby that was there for a program! I want to thank them for their hospitality and congratulate them on what looks to be a successful summer. What a wonderful resource they are to the City of New Braunfels!
Beautiful Texas sky next to their wonderful bookmobile!
The teen area was busy, colorful, and definitely a cool place to hang.
The children’s area is so lovely. It is very bright and fresh, highlighting flora and fauna of Texas and the Comal River.
And finally me… with a wallaby!
