STEM at the Library Workshop

Physics concepts can be taught in fun and engaging ways using very simple materials and activities. This workshop will have three parts. In the first part, waves will be explored using slinkies and other toys. In the second part, various party favors will be used to explore concepts of energy and equilibrium. Finally a “make and take” hover puck will be made and used to explore concepts of force and motion.

Presented by Dr. Paul Williams, founder of Austin Community College’s Hands on Science.
