Health Partners at the McAllen Public Library

Changing Lives with Community Partnerships

McAllen Public Library is proudly partnering with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and Needymeds to offer patron access to invaluable benefits programs. In partnership with HHSC, MPL has a computer workstation at each of its three locations specifically dedicated to self-service enrollment in Your Texas Benefits. On the Your Texas Benefits website, families and individuals may enroll for SNAP, CHIP, Medicaid, TANF, Medicare savings programs and long-term care benefits.

Needymeds provides a free drug discount card, as well as resources for free and low-cost medical clinics, funding opportunities for medical expenses, medical bill mediation and much more. Both organizations are always looking for additional library partners to support these programs. Contact HHSC and Needymeds directly for more information.
